If what you are describing is that your have installed everything 100% correctly, then i would think that the IC has a puncture in it. The car would run rich if the amount of air that's detected by the MAF sensor does not actually make it to the intake manifold. What happens is that the amount of fuel will be to match to that of what the MAF sensor read as the air enters the air filter (we'll call that amount X). But if the amount of air decreases before it reaches the intake manifold, then the computer will still put out X amount of fuel to match that X amount of air. But in reality, the actual amount of air is not X anymore, but much less, so the car runs rich. This happens usually when the car has a BOV and dumps the air directly to the atmosphere.
